So Soft-ware engineeeeru !!!

‘Machi already late night da…. We should have left earlier’, I told to my mate with a hopeless voice…. ‘Vennai, I told this 1 hour back and you din give a s**t… now polambingsssss’ I can see the anger in his sentence….

We all attending the farewell party hosted by our college telugu guys after the last day of the final year engineering course…. Ya, good 4 years passed by and we all were happy….

‘Seri…ok ok ok…chill out dude… after all its our party.. its only 1 o clk now… I will take you in 23 mins to home’…. I kicked my soul mate … I meant the black hero Honda splendour of mine…. There were 4-5 blokes living on the first floor of my house (tenants) who are (were) also my class mates in my college….This time I got one of em with me to the party in city center…. Our house is in the suburbs of Chennai and the city center is around 30 mins journey from ther….

‘Maaps (short form of maplai which means ‘son-in-law’ literally but no way means it) don be too rash or fast… go slow’…. He was begging me ..hahaha… I like it !!! I quickly parked my head in to the costly (400 rs.) helment and started to roll’…. It was mid june and no wonder the place is still humid even in the middle of night in Chennai… I was comfortable as the climate doesn’t bother me to slow down… Hardly any vehicles on road…. I was cruising to my home at around 70-80 kmph… taken the shortest possible route irrespective of the roads being no-entry zone or traffic police prone zone (as I got all the docs… needed to sneek away)…

We started from prince towers (egmore) and reached Choolai medu in 10 mins odd…
I took a no entry zone and went to a parallel road to take the short route… it’s a narrow connector road with lots of sharp curves… One dog was totally aggrevated by the noise of my vehicle and started to chase us…. There was other dog (sleeping 200 meters ahead of us) totally angry with this chasing dog’s voice and that too started running towards me… on an attempt to dodge this dog traffic I tried to do a smart cut and ended up skidding after getting past a hump….

Kreeeeeeeeeeeeech!!!! I din know what happened for next 20 secs…. After that I found myself 2 metrs away frm the bike… my left shoulder got a severe scratch… blood oozing out… big bang blow on my left knee with minor scratches all over the left leg…. I took my helmet off and found that it has got a big dent on the left side head spot…. Oh man …. Great escape…. Level 1 (My condition) is ok… I gotto check 2 more levels … next is Level 2 (My mate’s condition)… I looked back …. He came running towards me ‘Machi wat happened da… u ok there?? I detached and pulled away as soon as u started skidding…’ hahaha… super I like it…. He was totally safe with out even a single scratch…. What a friendship….lemme get well and kick ya a**… Level 3 (My bike’s condition) ayoooooooooo….. my dome (I got CBZ bike’s dome for my splendour on an expense of 450rs….) its broken…. Cha…. Total bad night : (

The beggars sleeping along the road side came towards me running and they were too good by giving me some water and the first aid that they kno…. They also took the bike for me and parked it along the side…. One of em asked me to go to hospital first…. But all we had is 32 rs…. Nthng more… as the trauma was not severe I decided to go home better… I need to answer 200 questions and cover up lots of facts… gone !!! gone !!! am dead man once I reach home…. I thanked all the kind human beings there and some how managed to get the bike running….

I crossed the Anna nagar Roundabout and heading towards thirumangalam with extreme pain on my shoulders…. Without knowing the biggest problem thaz gonna attack in another 111 secs…. There were a group of police men standing there near Blue star waiting for midnight hunt…. I was rightly caught… still I din bothered as I thought I got all the docs… ‘Where you guys coming from ?’ he asked in the most commanding tone… ‘Sir, farewell party sir from prince towers..’…I gave a humble reply with fulla agony….’Ok… get the papers’..why the hell these nuts asking me papers even though I haven’t breeched the traffic rules… karma… I don’t have any guts to ask anything…. I pulled out all the papers from the tool box where I kept those… ‘License???’ he starred at me…’Here…’ I pulled the card from my purse…’Ok.. where is insurance??’ … this time with more high voice…’Sir, it should be in there… how can it go missing’..i was puzzled…. ‘No, the insurance in this has expired 2 months back…where is the new one???’ he went mad…..

‘What the ….’ I dunno wat to do…. (Mavanay sethada nee)… I started pleading him..’Sir, I just met up with an accident and I am totally drowned already sir….I am sure my dad would have renewed the insurance… I will get the new copy tomorrow sir’… i showed a pathetic face…however the inspector was too rude…’What you thought am a fool…alright leave the bike… come with insurance tomorrow and get your bike’… he din wanna listen any more… I gave up after several attempts… My friend was a mere spectator all the time…. Wat else he could do… we started walking with out any idea about wat to do to get home…. We bashed those police men once we left the place…. Agony ..agony…agony…. jus an hour back I felt am the happiest person in the world… how ironic… crap !!!

We got PP70 bus near tirumangalam junction which goes to my place… we both sat in the last seat and slept one over the other thinking about the happenings…. And the following happened there after…

- convinced my parents that I was completely right with my bike riding and it was not my fault of leaving the renewed insurance docs…

- covered up the accident marks in my body with extreme difficulty

- went to the police station next day and claimed my bike back by writing a letter to inspector and also last but not least, at an expense of few orange juices to those b****s as a (forced) complement to do ther duty…

- comfortably lied to parents that it was those cops who broken my bike dome when they were transporting the bike….

- Got bullied by all my mates after that embarassing series(luckily my college days were over)

I wanted to get in to IPS and being a honest and public friendly officer…. After that devastating incident….(so kiddish isn’t it)… finally ended up being a software engineer blogging about this cho chaaad incident !!! (the least I could do) ; )

Think Think Think….!!!

Quiet long time aye !!! sema busy pa…. (please believe… believe… ada nambunga pa) anyways I started to feel that life is again goin monotonous both with office and personal life… nothing new and nothing exciting but there was a 2 day experience in the middle I wanted to share about which was very much intrstng….

I was so pissed off and not at all happy as am gonna attend a training on ‘Creativity, problem solving and decision making’ … crap its part of my development plan and I am supposed to take it… on top of that I had s**t loads of stuffs to finish off at my work place …..

It was Thursday morning and am fully drowned with no-mood-to-listen mentality… unwillingly I made to the training room on time which is like 1 million mile from my desk…. All the participants are new there and am not a good socializer in frst instance which made me feel more sick… no systems in training room means no chatting , no emailing, no time passing … ayooo I have to be in this desert for next 2 days…. I saw the trainer there… he was like heroine’s dad character in Kaadal movie…. So scary with his hefty appearance…. (machi nee maatna)

Ironically, those 2 days turned out to be the most intrstng part of this boring life spree am traveling on now… He started off with the introduction that made me to know abt the various ppl and ther background… fair… then he started off with 4 puzzles of different nature…. I managed to solve the first one with a clue, 2nd one i solved but thought the answer could be wrong due to too much logical thinking…, 3rd one was maths kinda puzzle but I thought lil different to arrive at a creative solution based on logic…. 4th one was very normal and little straight forward….. I was lil charged up as I was squeezing off my brain after a while… Then he started to explain how the brain thinks about each problem and which part of the brain (left or right) used a lot for a problem and how does it matters with personality ….. I started to feel the intensity of the heat… and I also felt its intrstng…. Wow !!! I exclaimed coz I wasn’t aware I spent 2 hours already in this class with out feeling a pain….

Got a hot cupa tea during the break and started lookin at the contents of the hand out for the first time… it was indeed intrstng… and I decided to give my best concentration as I trusted the person would be worth of with his amazing profile… The first thing stunned me was this… he asked generally ‘Guys, I got a question before you do this exercise… which part of brain you guys normally use?’ many said right, few said left.. few are confused …. So do i....’I guess I use both parts but am not a good thinker I believe’… …. I murmured in an unconvincing tone…. He throwed a crocodile smile (thaz how it looked) on me…. ‘Ok!!! Fill this questionnaire probably this may help you with your guesses about you’… I was curious… I filled the questionnaire in a flash… it has 20 questions with 2 options to answers for each…. The instruction was to calculate the number of option A and option Bs…. It was written at the end that if I have chosen more of option As then iam more a right brain user…. And vice versa… I was stunned to see I scored 10-10…. No wonder why am so confused most of the times…..Siva (trainer) given a philosophical smile on me and said ‘Ok dude…. Don’t think a lot just take this hand out and do as instructed’…

My curiosity now doubled… the hand out paper got around 20 phrases and I am supposed to pick those which suits me… I quickly picked and found 14 of em matches me… siva then had given another hand out of further instructions… That had a table with the information that what each phrase represents means is he a left brainer or right…. I counted…. And shocked this time… totally wacked… the result is 7-7… iam unique in that mini crowd…. Few others also claimed to be middle brain but ther results are not as accurate as mine…. However, shiva told that there is nothing special or good about this apart from such cases are very rare to find….. I was happy for a minute and disappointed to hear ‘ther is nothing much special about it’ (naa itha ketayna ivar kita…. Yethivitu erakarthungrathu ithu thaan pola)

This was a good start and I continued to listed about various ways of problem solving techniques, idea generation… most of the class room exercises happened as teams which made the course very much intrstng…. As a part of one exercise we are asked to create a worst tv show to telecast at 12-1 midnite which should turn out to be a big hit…. This was funny situation… we thought a lot and came out like a show that will blow up wat happens at the midnight of any one ….. it may be an intrstng show to a boring time pass…. All liked it …. One of the innovative guy in our team came up with this brilliant creation for the scenario…. Another team exercise made me curious was the scenario where an argument between a under looked software enggr and his lead who is desperate to finish up the ongoing project before the deadline… the soft. Enggr. Is so pissed off with his job as he was never recognized and now been asked to do over time shift to finish up the existing project…. It was a practical session done to emphasize the importance of role playing as part of problem solving… it was intrstng… ‘just put yourself in others shoes’ when ever you have problem with other people and then act accordingly… this is one big stuff I learnt…

I took the trainer away on the next day lunch to discuss about my work related problems and how to handle… he was very much professional and given an unbiased views about the problems…. I guess am much more clear about what is my problem all about and how to approach on it…. Wat more??? I have given him the best feedback (am sure he would have got the same from every one in every program he conduct)… and left the room with full of joy and enthusiasm with out bothering about the release I have to finish it by Monday eveng….

SHEER BRUTE THRILL !!!

This blog just express various people’s feelings during the last 3 balls of the T20 world cup tournament recently happened.

Background:

India batted first to put 157 on board. Pakistan chased well to reach 145 in 19 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Last over.. 6 balls left and 13 more runs needed to snatch the shining trophy and prove they are the supreme power of the tournament.

Feelings…..:

Pak. - 19 overs – 144/9

Shoaib Malik (Pakistan captain sitting on the bench):

Oh god !!! I thought we are lost… misbah darling get those runs and prove the power of our religion. Atleast for our life (I don’t wanna get killed mysteriously after a shocking loss like our old coach)

Misbah (batsman who is about to face the first delivery from Jogi.):

Array yaar !!! I was expecting Bajji… wat the hell ??? this bowler is cheeky in this match and keeps me confusing on the approach… anyways… I remember the league match I played with similar situation… I shouldn’t mess up this time.

Dhoni (Indian captain):

Come on Jogi… I know I am gambling with you but thaz alright…. I don’t care if we win or loose… play your best cricket…. (don’t laugh dhoni is more a philosopher than a player) ;)

Runner in the other end:

Ya allah !!! please don’t make me to take the strike…. I am sure I will be dead with heart attack….

Joginder (the Indian bowler about to bowl):

All sharp people…. Made me to bowl last over so that they can put the blame on me… I feel like am a scape goat… anyway I don’t think I can get in to team even if I bowl well and win the match…. Lemme stay off the pressure and do decent bowling…

Harbajhan (poor victim of Misbah’s fireworks earlier):

Ahhhhhh !!! I totally messed up… good I haven’t taken any chance to bowl last over and take the worst curse from all of my country men.

Pak. - 19 overs – 145/9 (wide ball bowled)

Dhoni : F**k
Misbah : Yesssss
Shoaib : God is great !!!
Harbajan : Me great escape ;)

Gambir : Will I get man of the match !!!!

Rohit sharma : Watz so great about it even I can hit like that
Harbajan : (again) great escape daaaaa !!!
Agarkar : Me too great escape …
Venkatesh Prasad : I can see myself in my days
Gambir : I think I wont be the man of the match

Pak. – 19.3 overs – 151/10 (Out – Catch India won the world cup)

Sharad pawar : Super advertisement ready for me and my party for next election
Dhoni : I love India
Misbah : Not again !! am sure whole Pakistan will curse me for another few minutes before realizing my original contribution and value.
Ameer khan : Why not I can take Lagaan – II with this…..
Sharukh Khan : I should not shake hand to Pakistan skipper by mistake
SA and England : Abba !!! we haven’t lost to the worst team.
Australia : Just miss… we should have got this candy… lets crush them next week in the tour to India
New Zealand: For us the win against India in Super 8 is the best moment lets escape with that credit
Jogi : I know they wont give the man of the match to me… lemme pretend like it was an ‘idea delivery’
Sreesanth : I showed (shouted/screamed/sweared) up a lot !!! I cant think my situation if I left this catch….

Vegam (...the speed...)

10 Sep. 2007 (Monday):

Its 8.50 pm already…. still goofing around in the office... Bit hectic when your team mate is not around and you have to manage a lot…. I gotto work in different country’s time zone to answer their urgent queries on the existing issues…. I need to go home soon today for more than a million reasons…

Very few are in the floor… ‘Dude !!! wazzup man too much workaaa’… my mate queried in a puzzled voice… ‘Ya buddy, gotto sort our few high prio. Issues’ … almost done.. will sneak away spotless in 4 mins 33 secs… I anserd in my usual comical tone… All done.. I packed up my stuffs… took my helmet and bike key from the draw… I normally don’t use my bike for home-office-home travel but at times I need to take it if Its emergency or if I forget to book my cab…

Rushed to the lift… bloody hell all are in basement… gotto wait more than 30 secs for the doors to open… reached basement and keyd in… am in real hurry man gotto reach home soon… (reason ellaaam solla mudiyaathu) ;)

Ususally the button start of bike wudnt work if the bike is not used for more than 3 days… I was bit lucky, it started on the first click … I kissed my thumb… raised my accelerator to show up therz a cheetah gearing up to freak out… (chumma vetti scene thaan) I slowly moved out of the office campus adhering the speed norms that I gotto follow inside… the macho Honda unicorn loaded with double silencer and changed alloy wheels looked best with the different shades of black…the 2 piece mini handle bar is always a comfort for cut & go in the traffic…

Normally the traffic is relatively less at this time (9.10 pm man… I need to go soon) my office is around 15 kms from home… I am not an expert rider of the bike … still I love to ride fast to enjoy the thrill of it… today the need of the hour triggerd the racer in me to get cracking…. Good to see the less traffic as anticipated…. I reached the kundalahalli signal in 4 mins odd… din bothered about the vehicles at back.. I kept goin with my flash cuts and non indicated turns… ther was this Yamaha 135 cc guy crossed me like a flash…. ‘thaz it Aravindh, take the fun on yr hands… go kick his a**’… I decided myself to go race with him…. I prayed for his way to be same as mine… reached towards marathalli bridge and reached in 40 secs …. Full traffic… but managed to dodge the traffic to keep the momentum up and steady…. But the Yamaha counterpart is too good… his immense pick up is matchless with my lorry type bike…. I still roared out in anger…. I some how able to manage 2 or 3 yards behind him…

Ther was the red signal and am forced wait for a minute or so… this chap went well ahead getting through with those tiny gaps he got…. He was stuck at one point and forced to wait for green coloured relief….. the light went green and I cant stop laughing as he actually thought the car before him will leave after the green signal but the fact is that no one was in the car and the carz parked out ther…. I used this and managed to over take him…. I reached the outer ring road (orbital high way) and picked up my speed around 100 and kept steady… I was too carefull about the humps and potholes…. Flippin hell !!! ther was another pulsar who is racing parallely with me… I also heard the Yamaha sound few yards at my back…. Oh man I love this…. 2 counterparts …. Relatively clean road with around 10 kms stretch…. what more you need???

I din give up... I kept going steady... but the pulsar is a bloody strong machine …. Only way I cud take over is ther should be some traffic and I should prove good enough to dodge the traffic and get away faster than the pulsar man…. I got the traffic block as I expected near the intel company…. I totally went to the left end of the road and sneaked away through the bus stop ther… ppl cursed us like hell but Its part of the game…. As I prayed the pulsar wanted to use the conventional rule of over taking through on my right but therz a big truck out ther coughing up smoke and put all his rising attitude to a complete jeopardy…. I was happy, I some how got out of the traffic block and shocked to see this Yamaha idiot already ahead of me….. ayoo ayoo… in long stretch I cant take over the pulsar, in the traffic block Yamaha jus squeezes through effortlessly…. I din lose the hope I kept rising up and managed to over take the Yamaha but reached the sarjapur junction… its huge signal…. And as I guessed this Yamaha squeezed thro to rest in front…. I cant go past after a while as the gap wasn’t big enough…..

‘Macha do something da… don let him get away…’ jus 2 kms more for my area… I took the service lane and decided to break the signal and go.. (isn’t that cheating?? Ok keep reading) by the time I reached the end of the road thro service lane… the signal turned green and i aptly went to the same place wer this Yamaha guy was ther… I also noticed the pulsar guy took left turn from the service lane and disappeared… I was happy that I am atleast 2nd rank as of now….

Alright… moving on…. I cant match the pickup of the Yamaha but with in 30 secs I managed to catch him but traffic was bit heavier and I cant dodge as like him…. He kept his position steady in front… and I followed him closely…. Ther was only 0.2 kms left to take left turn.. I thought hez gonna go straight but I sensed that even hez gonna take left with his gesture…. I noticed the swift car going before put the left indicator and switched off (means he wants to take left but the road is still 200 mts away so he might have realized that late and switched off the indicator) … I thought I read the car driver’s mind well… I prayed my assumption to be right…so I took over the car on the right side of the car… the Yamaha sensed am speeding up and he wanted to over take me over the left side of the car… but as I guessed the car sharply took a left deviation and the Yamaha gave a gentle kiss on the swift’s bumper with his front tyres… he got fumbled a bit and applied good break to avoid any disaster… I din bothered and did no mistake in taking a gracefull turn in a good speed…. The final stretch of 0.3 kms…I raised my bike full speed… I exactly know wer is the next hump as am used to this area… I heard the roaring Yamaha sound at my back but am confident he cant touch me… I gave a good steady break near the hump…. And took left turn to my house… and stopped to see waz the status of the rank 2 racer of the day… he crossed the hump with around 50 kmph… but he din bother and he was surprised that I took left…. Any way the race ended after I took left…. I checked the time and it 9.25 pm… gosh !!! I reached in 15 mins man… this is a record (time for myself) I guess… after 2 hours I realized ive been such a stupid to risk my life for the sake of thrill and some manageable reason to reach soon….i said to myself

‘DON’T EVER DO THIS AGAIN’ ... however its an experience :)

Auto or Arrrrrroganto !!!!

After a very long time I guess… This time I bring up a social issue where I myself affected terribly…..

It was a long weekend traveling places…. I reached Bangalore, Candonment railway station on Friday night I prefer getting down in Cand. Rather majestic as I can save 30 mins and also 3 or 4 kms less than it takes from majestic… I also hoped to get a prepaid auto and reach home at nominal rate… The time was only 8.50 pm… I was very much anticipating a quick auto and go home to see the 5th ODI between India and England… The first innings was smashing were India scored 324 runs and England chasing this in a brisk pace… I kno its gonna be an intrstng show… I was desperate to reach home early….

I rushed out of the station…. And ran towards the prepaid auto counter and startled to see a considerably long Queue already ther inspite of my immense speed to reach the spot… I still din bothered as it will be more 10 mins (thaz wat I guessed)…. I was standing for around 10 mins and the queue is almost like stack… (means no opening in the other end means no autos at all)….i got pissed off and the I realized that ther are no autos in that auto path next to the counter…. I was totally angry and hope less…. I dunno wat to do… an auto driver approached and askd..’Sir, Auto??’…I was like ‘Wer the hell u come from…’ I thought in my mind… but my need of the hour is an auto and I told ‘HSR 1 sector’… he told in a commanding tone, ‘Ok Sir, come… 190 Rs. Sir’…. Wat the….. ‘You cheeky B*d’ my train ticket from Chennai to Bangalore is just 175 and you want me to give 190 to cross 10 or 12 kms’ ... i thought of telling but i stayd humble and said, ‘Sir, its only 100 rs. If I take prepaid ticket and may be as I gotto go quick I can give 130 rs.’..he gave a dirty look and went away with out even bothering to say ‘No’.

Time passed and no movement in the Q… Curiosity already started killing this cat… ahhhh.. I made my wife to stand in the Q to go out and search for an outside auto who can take me at the affordable rate…. I looked at the Q and shocked as I cannot spot the end…. Also I started noticing ppl started to detach jus like how I did… then I looked around and was completely shocked…. Therz a bloody load of autos standing away from the path near to the counter to catch the customers for double charge…. I quickly clicked the snaps….. I tried askng one or 2 autos for my area but no one ready to come at even 1.5 charge…. Such a shame….

I can even see police standing out ther but not at all bothered about such an embarrassing scene… this is completely atrocious… I dunno who is the responsible one for all this mess but the Bangalore govt., instead spending money on making the citi wi-fi and provide facilities for middle and high class people, can hire more cops, more officers, more schemes to set this auto problems and serve all class of people… I heard many ppl (specially old ones) cursing the govt. and auto walas for this devastating scene… deftly auto is not affordably for any middle class or low class at this rate… sema peelings…. I already missing my match and this is rubbing salt on the wound….

Atlast one person agreed for 160 rs. As if he did a big favor for me…. We got in to the auto…. Jus about to start… therz his friend came running ‘Hey dude, wer are u going ?’….’HSR layout’ he anserd in a hurry…’Take that chap with you..even hez going ther’…thaz it I cant control any more…I shouted at them infact started screaming…. He was completely shocked…’Ok, take him with you but I will pay only half the amount’… he got angry as if I did some injustice…. ‘Then can you also share the fine if police catch us for overloading the auto?’ he asked like a genuine human being…. ‘F**k you a*s h**e… then forget all and just drive with out taking in anyone…did I asked u to call some one’… he said ‘ok ok ok boss’ and started driving and I took a snap of him as well…..

He was bloody rash and fulla anger… I looked for his name and details which will normally be sticked some wer in the auto but I cant spot it…..i got down few yards before my home…noted his auto number infront of him… gave the money… he switched on his loud music and went away….

Bangalore once known for generous auto drivers as they always put meters and don’t take anything extra… but nowadays they started to exploit the peoples need specially in the railway stations and other key spots… am gonna post this as a complaint to the govt. and keep my fingers crossed….. !!!

Jillunu oru Cricket !!!

Haaa… the most energetic word nowadays in my Hemoglobin…. Cricket… I had a chance to watch Chennai – 600 028, a (gully) cricket focused tamil movie. Well crafted screenplay, so practical remainded the olden days when we used to play cricket in our area…. On an attempt to bring out the feelings of an average gully cricket player (enna mulikareenga athu naa thaan… enna thaan naa oru super player naaalum thannadakam venumla) , I have written this true incident happened last week…. Just tolerate like how u did for my previous blogs ;)

I still cannot give up the habbit of meeting my mates during Saturday morning cricket that we used to have almost once in every 2 weeks on average… This time I wanted to make it more intrstng and so I fixd a match between us (me, my X roomies, few colleagues) and them (one of my colleague’s roomies, ther group which talks the language sounding ‘lu’ ‘uu’ ‘oo’ most of the times---no offence) Supposed to be a 9-a side tennis ball cricket match in same place where we used to play usually in JP nagar but the count waz amazingly huge and we got few cricky lads (who speaks a language which sounds like a different tamil accent) whom we used to play often with in the same ground…. So it was 11 a side proper match…..

Pre match report:

The climate is just perfect….no rain, no sun, no heavy wind and pure bliss… no other matches happening in the ground and it was desserted allowing just ‘US’…. We all (my team) reached very early and playd 2 small games with in ourselves and had enough warm up…..we wer anticipating a great game….

Toss:

The toss session was quick….. and we lost it…..(ayoooo ayoooo) we are pushed to bowl first…. We are little tired with early games and was eager to pick batting first….anyways when you don’t know the opponent’s strength, its better to bowl first….

Rules:

Therz no much room behind the stumps…. Runs all around the stumps…. No runs for wide, byes, leg byes & overthrows…Over stepping is considered no ball only if the margin is huge…. These are standard rules for many tennis ball crickets… the leg side boundary (for right handers) is quiet close…. The ground is relatively small for 11 fielders and we predicted that scoring singles & doubles wil be tougher…. It was a 15 overs match and a bowler can bowl 3 overs max.

The feelings:::

What ever comes here after is purely my feelings and it need not be correct…. The scores and statistics may be little different as I cannot rember wat exactly happened in each and every minute…however, the incidents I quoted are true to the best of my knowledge….I generally don use names in my blog but I have to use this time and I hope the respective name owners wudnt mind….

We entered the field for bowling,

0 overs 0 runs

I made the bowling schedule, Krishna moorthy (the guy from TTA’s gang…TTA = Twisted Tamil Accent) and me are opening the bowling…..The other bowlers in the Q are Jagan, Umesh(TTA) & Vinay(TTA) …3 overs each was the plan…..I bowled the first ball… he defended it…. What a great feeling…. Hez a left hander…. Looking tall & smart…sounds like a prominent player….next ball deliverd…. Full toss… to the bat…. Straight hit… 4 runs….. f**** hell…. Confidence drained…. My mates wer shocked…. We all thought hez gonna take the s**t outta us…. 2 singles after that….

2 overs 9/0

Krishna moorthy finished his first over decently leaving away only 3 runs in that…. I was curious to not to give away anything by full toss or a slow ball…. This time the other opener played and bingo he got out of my 3rd delivery…. Catch to mid on….well done mani !!! I was releaved …. 2 singles in that over….

4 overs 11/2

K and me bowled the next 2 overs extrodinarily well to keep ther scores on control…K took a wicket to rub the salt on ther wounds….now we gotto break this and get some one else to bowl in… Jagan was on my mind and I got him in… I haven’t seen much of his bowling before but he did splendidly well when he bowled the local game before the match…..he also managed to bag few wickets during his spell…

5 overs 14/3

I thought spinners can do the trick as the score is low and the batsman wer hungry for runs…. However, the risk is huge as leg side boundary is too close…. We took the risk and got vinay to bowl… he was totally superb and bagged 4 or 5 wickets… he was on a hat trick in between….but missed out….

8 overs 22/7

The runs are on control and I can experiment further…. My mates askd me or k to continue but I want to reserve the last 2 overs for us….i called umesh to bowl as I thought he might be handy and proved it tho…he got a wicket and haven’t let away anything….the lower end of the opponents wer little sensible and scored runs with singles and 2’s…

12 overs 47/9

1 wicket remaining and the boys done remarkably well to bag all the wickets… I was greedy and snatched the ball to bowl the next over as I was confident to pick the last wicket…. And it happened like eating a cherry topped vanilly cake….. catch to mani again….. they wer all out in 12.1 overs with 47 runs…..

Hurray !!! we all wer happy….

“Macha cake walk da… jus play 15 overs we will win”…. Mani
“Just send the weaker one’s first and let them have ther chance”…Umesh
“Machi…I will play if therz any tension or pressure on batsman”….JK
“Be carefull… looks like they got good set of bowlers”…Ananth

Comments wer a lot… however, we din feel any much pressure due to low score…. (orayyy varutham enana entha naayum ‘nalla potada aravindhuuuunu sollavay ilai’) our objective was not to loose the wickets for atleast first 4 overs as we watched ther bowling was jus too good and we anticipated the best 2 should be opening the bowling…. We decided to send Mani and Ananth in as mani is known for his defensive but safe game and Ananth, the super hit man whenever therz a looze ball….

2nd Innings: 0 Overs 0 Runs

I went as an umpire so that I can interact with the batsman easily and also I can do the job relatively well (also none of the others ready to come and stand in the middle after a long fielding) I was searching for the bowler….some one told that he is the one and he is ready from his start point….. later i realized he is fast bowler and hez running from like 2 0r 3 kms away….. (aaaahaaaaa kelambitaaanya kelambitaaaan)… the batsman started sweating already and I told them just to keep the wicket and don bother runs for now….. the first ball was like a lightning…..mani managed to touch it and snatch a single…..the second ball was in same speed… good bouncer and cant even get the bat near to it….. we all in chorous “Machaaaaaaaaaa…” all the balls wer quick and spotless….. he bowld few wides though…. Jus a single of the over…

1 over 1/0

I was expecting a similar bowler to bowl the next over…but amazingly he was a spinner…. Leg spinner…. The ball spinned and turned like Ferrari…. I admired the energy in the team… they wer quak quaking almost for each and every ball…. The keeper is fulla speakers in his body…batsman was cleanly tortured in all directions…. The thrill got no bounds the batsman wasn’t comfortable at all… really really difficult to play the ball In such a scene….

5 overs 7/0

The only satisfying point was no wickets wer lost until now…. Ananth got saturated, “Dei I will start hitting da… doesn’t matter if I get out but cant be slow da”… “Yeah man…”, I knodded …”Go ahead and play your game…we got the wickets anyway”….A off spinner bowled this time…I called it as wide….”Its not a wide bro…”…”It is a wide… the ball is going away from the batsman”… I told him politely…”But I told you iam bowling offspin how can the ball go away from the batsman”,,,,”What the F****”, mani and me laughed at this….”May be u said but the ball actually spinned the other way”, I was still polite…”When I bowl like this how can it go away”..he showed the ball to my face and did the off spin action…”May be it has pitched on the stone and turnd the otherway…what ever, it’s a wide ball”I gesterd like I don wanna hear any more….. the next ball was pitched and went inside ananth’s bat and all shouted for a caught behind…. And I clearly denied as it was miles away from the bat…. But the fielders started swearing already…however, I noticed the keeper was quiet and din appeal…. Isn’t that apparent??? With fulla frusturation he bowled the next ball and ‘Clean bowled’…. The first wicket fallen…. The bowler shouted in gracy voice ‘God is great’….. some one else enhanced the sentence…’God is there and God is great’…. Though we lost a wicket I laughed my ass off….. hahaha… wicked…. I told this to mani and he laughed too…. “So kiddish”, he commented… I called Umesh to bat next as I know his batting well and he is a good connector of the ball…. I was anticipating a good pace in score…..he made few singles and got out trying to hit the ball to boundary and landed safely on the hands of long on…too….’Flippin hell’ … I din expected this… we gotta make some plan…. I called ‘Reddy’ the connection point between both the teams…. Hez a cool guy all the time and never takes any tensions at all… he played few deliveries got out and got back with same smile all the time…..I thought I can go and try my luck….. I askd reddy to do the umpiring bit….i don’t have any comments on ther bowling at that point…. I managed to snatch singles….

7 overs 22/4

Mani was out too…I called kicha to bat in…. he is always a batsman with class timing of the ball…. He is more a kinda sachin of our team but wont stay for a long time… I told him not to hit the ball in the air… he did and catch…..hez out too…. Then I called vinay as I had loads of hopes on him…. Gone case…. Keeper catch in the second delivery he faced…. Ayooo raama….!!! Then I called Jagan to pop in…. hez a strong chap who can do wonders….he was already charged up as he won accolades with his immaculate bowling….we both had a big pressure…..Jagan hitted a boundary and batting was like cake walk for him that point…..

11 overs 33/7

I was desperate to go for a huge shot… we needed 15 runs in 4 overs…. Required run rate is low but bowling is still tough… the leg spinner who bowled the 2nd over bowled now…. Jagan played the first ball and scored a single…. Second ball was in to the ribs and I defended… I gave a decent blow on the third ball with the spin to the deep square…the ball went and stuck in to the bush jus few centimeters before the boundary and I stopped after running 2 as I thought it’s a 4…. Bull shit !!! they argued it cant be a boundary as it haven’t touched the fence….i lost my temper and shouted like mad but its common for any…. I agreed as I din wanna argue any more and I was more tensed…. 12 more runs required and am facing the last ball of the over… I managed to hit the ball partially on the legside backside towards the leg slip region…. And I believed a single could be easy with that situation as we need runs anyway…. I haven’t heard any ‘Stayyyyy’ from the runner and my eye was on the ball and I hope we cud have make it….but shocked to see the runner haven’t moved out of the Greece in the other end… Run out !!!!... I yelled out of temper…. And I walkd out….

12 overs 36/8

12 more runs to win in 3 overs…. 2 wickets in hand… god save us… Krishna moorthy and jagan are at the Greece… I kno K is not a big hitter but a sensible batsman… I had my hopes on Jagan tho I was still having some sparks on him…. K scored a single and handed it to jagan….. the next 2 balls wer dots…. Tension all over… no other thoughts… we all shouting “Machi play safe”,”Get singles”,”Play your game”,”Stay cool”,”Game in hand”..bla bla bla…. I can understand that too one won listed to any of these…. But its human irony to say these and this shows the sportsmanshipy….. kalaaas!!!! 4 runs….. wow man I love u….. great shot and needed 6 more runs to win…

13 overs 42/8

We got 2 overs to play…. We wer expecting the fastest bowler but to our surprise a leg spinner came in…. K played the first ball and managed a cool single… ‘machi jus 5 more runs needed da’ I shouted…we wer on our toes keeping our fingers crossed behind the wickets….. ther wer 6 fielders on leg side and the bowler looks so confident… we wer talking to ourselves that if he din use this bowler then its tough to score from the fiery macho in next over… the bowler bowled his 2nd delivery of the over tossing the ball like a balloon…. It short pitched…took a small turn and met jaggi’s bat comfortably for a splendid hook… the ball rised up in the air like NASA rocket… all our eyes on the ball and partially shocket as we din wanna catch which is what happening in the past 1 hour or so….. hurrayyyyy !!! the ball jus managed to touch the boundary wall like 1 or 2 yards above the height of the fielder in the deep….. wat a shot man…. Bravo….. thaz wat I call it as courage…. We all went ther and patted him….. he coolly left this comment “Macha I dunno waz the point in placing all the fielders in leg side and bowling a leg side ball when the boundary is too close and the ball is too slow”….. I shouted “God is there still god is very much great” ;)

Just walk,

As always… I was excited on the Friday night…. This time its very special as I got relieved from a kick ass project that I was working for past 1 month… so am double happy and anticipating the weekend…. The delicious, lavishing Saturday mrng arrived and I was charged up in the mrng at 6.30 …. Managed to gather my frnds for cricket… surprisingly, we had lots this time and a great long play for 3 hours approx…. super workout and by the end of those die’ng hours, I almost fainted…

Then what…. Juice corner…. Don’t rmeber how much juice I drunk, what I drunk, why I drunk that much…. But its heaven ;) A good long chat with all my X – room mates…. All done and now back to home… am all alone for the day… so excited !!! (ayooo olaritayno…its ok yaa) Had 7 masala dosa’s in my mate’s house….. was thinking of goin to office as I thought I mite b bored…. But thought, ‘Why not??? Lemme take a nap’ …. Seriya pochi….. office pona maathiri thaan…. Had a immaculate kumbakarna sleep of 3-4 hours after keeping the phone in silent mode… (he he he) …Ithukapram thaan matteray…

I got up around 4 and I din know wat to do… thought of washing the clothes but no clue wer Is the washing powder…. Thought of cleaning the house but no clue abt wer is the broom stick…. Thought of shopping groceries, again no clue wat the hell am gonna buy…. Aravindhu unaku ethukuda ithellam….. Then washed my face… got in to my tracks, locked the door and started walkng on the streets… I wasn’t aware that the following one hour is gonna be unique and best….

I was full tired and pain all over the body due to early mrng cricket… head rotating, shoulder kingking, stomach grumbling, neck cracking and whole body doing jingilala ;) …. I started feeling sick bein alone inside four walls and i wanted to hang out, atleast a walk…. I should say, the place I live in Bangalore is one of the best… so quiet, so many trees, too windy, very chilly, less populated and quiet clean…. I kept walking for 2 kms towards the direction of Tamil nadu…. I was totally eccentric…. I enjoyed each and every second… I catched up a local shop where I had the world’s amazing tea for 2 Rs. (overaaaaaa pesarayno !!!) then I took another way back to home… I convinced the inner person in me to enjoy all I watch on the way back…

- the ‘thaathaa’s having a healthy walk

- the ‘tamil’ speaking workers who are having fun singing with the construction work

- the kids having ther best Saturday evng playing arnd with ther neighbour counterparts

- the hathway internet ppl who are digging up the roads and working hard for the internet which never (worked) gonna work

- the strong breeze from the near by forest (basically a military camp)

- clean roads with needed humps all over to protect pedestrians from nasty speeders

It wasn’t a typical satrday evng as I always spend (wat else apart from watchng movies) ….. For people, who are stressed out a lot at work, physically tired, totally alone, having a short time to try smthng diffrnt……. Try this out… you MAY not gain anything but deftly you are not losing a million dollar business, are you?

Gold ‘o’ Gold

I always wanted to visit the Gold (posh) class section in the PVR cinemas in Bangalore as I heard a lot about it …. My mates in other IT companies been ther as part of ther team outing and I envy them as movies are not allowed in our office…. So we have obvious few choices like bowling, restaurant and what else………uhhhh…

But my urge kept increasing about gold class and I wanted to break in …so was waiting for a chance (means quality movie and time) finally it happened… last evening, my wife and me managed to adjust the schedule and met in Forum, PVR to watch the ultimate blockbuster in Indian movie history….. (do you wanna kno the name… come on….)

Shame… she haven’t watched it yet (shame, I haven’t took her ;) ) but for reasons… the ticket price is flippin high and I was jus thinking of giving a second thought…. Oh well its thalaivar in screen and no compromise…. The price is Rs. 450 (ticket) + 150 (food) per head…. 1200 Rs. Thathaaaaasthu….we slowly entered the lounge and it is pretty small, decorated well with fulla RED every wer….. then went past to rest room and amazed with the neatness & poshness of the zone….. now we entrd the audi and little surprised to see jus 32 seats (or it is sofas) in the whole audi…. The arrangmntz like 2 seats together everywer…. Intended for couples coming….. therz a handy table inbetween to rest the food stuffs….. the sofa is like the little chap’s science project in Sunfeast ad starred by Suriya….. we both we hungry…. Orderd few munchies and drinks….. went crossed the limit tickets we had… gotto pay extra bucks any way…(this time I said in a sad tone ‘anything for thalaivar’)

The movie started soon… with the sound and picture, I havnt found mucha difference than regula cinema hall… its only ambience and service that matters…..Just to add, this time when I was watching the movie, I noticed vivek (the comedian in movie) knocked few funny punch dialogues abt ‘Sivaji’ when the baddies try to hit em…..

‘Thambaram thaandina kaatbadi, sivaji kitta mothina deadbody’

‘Pasanga paakarathu POGO, sivaji kita vendam GOGO’

‘Sixuku apram seven da, sivajiku apram evan da’

LMAO.... when I watched the movie for second time i noticed many other hardwork behind the making of such a macho man show……

Naangalum Mega serial Paapom !!!

I got my mom and cousins from Chennai visiting me yesday and it was all fun in the house after a long and quiet period… I was enjyng it though…. Suddenly one shouted its 9 o clk and other got shock in her eyes… and all together shouted ‘KOLANGAL’ and ran to tv… then some one in relaxed tone ‘hey its jus started…..chill out’…. Wat the hellllll…. ????

This happens almost in all the houses…. Soaps are ruling the evenings… getting so magnetic with the ladies at home…. Doesn’t spare dad’s either in some places… one of my colleague whoz not tamil by birth was talkn abt this serial ‘Kana kaanum kaalangal’ and I thought what the crap…. ‘come on man…. U cant tell this… we are so called ‘IT guys’ and we shd b watching only HBO, AXN, news channels blab la bla’….. (‘aravindhu vendam over scene odambuku aavathu’… I heard this deep inside and door locked) ‘no da this one is good, not those conventional serials… crying, senti, crying, crying, crying…..’ ..ohhhhh neva thought this…’this one got good fun and I can recollect few of my school incidents …its all abt school life’…hmmmmm… Ive taken in this ear and left out that ear (puriyala, intha kaathula vaangi antha kaathula vitutayn) ;)

Same evening I reached home around 7.45 pm… got refreshed and jus surfing the channels…. Suddenly in vijay tv I saw this title song of the ‘Kanaa kaanum kalangal (KKK)’ which was the talk in the mrng’s tea break… I jus got little curious…I have a strong confidence that 'u can still understand the story even if u watch the last episode of a mega serial'… he he he… so I din cared abt the episode number and anticipating to keep myself entertained for 30 mins…. however, I was prepared for a worst show and surprised to see the episode crafted well…

therz basically 2 groups in a class.. one posh group and the other little local group… I guess this will be ther in 90% of the schools…. And the whole story is spinning around the characters in these 2 groups…. Few falls in love…. Girls…. Comedy by ‘black pandi’, a catchy character is too good and this chapz not gonna finish his school at all.. looks like he gonna shine with movies…. A drug addict in the movie…. I admire a girl in the story ‘Ragavi’ who got the apt look of a class topper and also matured student for her age…. Infact I had a similar sorta girl in our class when am in school (seee started cherishing my memories already) ….

The screen play of the serial is very pleasant and the BGM score is a bliss …. Yesday amazingly I saw my favrte ‘lollu saba’(a comedy show) star ‘Jeevan’ in the serial… I should say he is next santhanam known for his quick wits and class imitation of other celebrities…. He is a biology school teacher in this serial and hez doing his part with perfection….. even this character reminds my school time teacher… I still don’t think am an addict as I watch only if I go home before 8…. So far I never alterd my schedule for this serial;s sake… however, its worth watching and a pleasant way to finish the day : )

Kannu…. Ithu puthusu !!!

So much excited and I felt the electricity in me when I heard these words (refer this blog's title) from Rajini’s next animation movie ‘SULTAN’..this was the theatrical trailer of the Thalaivar’s next animated movie before the start of Sivaji…. Oh yes I finally managed to get the ticket and watched it in the middle of the week….(gotto take a day off…its alright ‘udal mannuku… 1 day leave thalaivaruku’…end of the day, its worth)

I was ontime and all set to watch the much awaited, hyped, anticipated movie …. What should I look forward in this movie??? Is it A R Rehman’s music, Sankar’s direction, Antony’s editing, Anand’s cinematography, Thotta dharani’s immaculate sets…. Above all the one and only DON of the tamil cinema, the thalaiva, the super star’s action itself…. Know what??? All these hypes haven’t gone on a toss… all the efforts are apt… and the project is ‘THE ONE’ and unique…. Never ever in Indian cinema…. I remember when I went to see the movie ‘BABA’ on the first day first show, got disappointed a lot with the paucity of grip…this time everythingz perfect and man, you gotta watch this damn amazing master piece of this team….

I don’t wanna sit on the story and break the surprise to you.. just wanna share about my feelings at various stages of the movie as follows

Thalaivar’s entry: I expected it to be grand'er (like in padayappa) but the projection is little milder than what I thought.. its quite common with sankar and this kinda entry actually suits the story…..so stunned with thalaivar's out look.... so damn young for his age....

The first song: ‘Ballelaka’ was cool and made every one chill with Nayantara featuring in it …. Look at thalaivar .. so young, so charismatic, so energytic… don say he is above 50….

Vivek : This chap won accolades… his slapstick humour never let any movie down and this movie is one of his top performance… I always admire his quick wit and expressive comedy.. no wonder he is china kalaivanar….if you say vadively in chandramuki then vivek proved his position in SIVAJI

Shreya: the homely girl (apart from songs) filled the position very well and was really cute with her handy acting… outclasses very well in the songs and a very good add on for the movie credits…

Punch dialogues: Whats thalaivar with out punch dialogues… ‘Kanna panninga thaan kootama varum …. Singam epothum single’aaa thaan varum’.... i bet no one else in the world can deliver this with the charm as this master-of-charisma does..... 'pera ketaalay summa athiruthila !!!'

Stunts : peter heins did his homework very well… thalaivar co operated well and strained a lot to bring it well… the climax fight is still in the eyes…

Suman : I should say this guy is an intelligent choice.. though he didn’t impress much with his acting, he suits the role aptly with this sarcastic appearance and dialogue delivery…I should appretiate who ever chose him for this role

Oru koodai sunlight: this song is the real eye catcher… thalaivar is actually a white guy in this movie… its one year hard work in the technicians end to do this ‘picture grating’ thing and it has come out very well enough to see the smile in audience face….

Comedy : Thalaivar and vivek proved best together…. Specially when they try to crack in to shreya’s house. Solomon papaya done his tiny bit very well… the comedy dominates the first half of the movie….

Screen play: Now, this is the highlight of the movie… although this reminds lots of scenes from sankar’s earlier movies Indian, gentleman and mudhalvan, still looks fresh with thalaivar in it… full credits to Sankar being a strong backbone with his amazing intelligence in direction and extrdnry screenplay….good show !!!

There are few minor reservations abt this movie in my mind as follows

Sahaara song is not to my expectation… I would love to see that song in a nature rich part of europe… still done the best with the indoor…

Mayilsamy, chinnijayant and damu been given a oorugai part (touchable) wer they desperate to show ther heads in the movie for 10 secs????

It was only thalaivar and vivek took the most of the movie and no room to show some action from villan’s end… Suman is more a model in the movie

A stretchy first half where every one irritates the hero when he is on his attempt to do good…. at one point made me think ‘Come on thalaiva…enough patience … now show some sincilating style and action’

Best scenes:

When thalaivar sits in the tea shop and negotiates with suman with the black money in front of income tax office…. BGM was sexy that time….

When thalaivar tosses the bubble gum to his mouth and the one rupee coin in his own stylish way…. (I am practicing the same way but wasted lots of bubble gums so far)

The 2 stunts, one when thalaivar gets the black money from suman and the other one is climax fight… (just observe the music too)

When he clearly explains how our country suffers due to those big shots logging black money in ther back yard ….(this is real learning even for literates)

Oru koodai sunlight song…. Man its spain and its thalaivar and its shreya and its arr and above all its technology that rules

Thalaivar enters again in other getup with his head shaved up…. Kudos to costume designer and the make up artist…

Altogether, the movie is a master piece and a complete family entertainer with the calculated and healthy mix of romance, fun, action, sentiment and MESSAGE…

Business break

This is a so called corporate term invented by one of my colleague and I further want to enhance.

What is a Business break?

A break taken during your work hours which defines the following
- the break duration is still part of your working hours
- tea/coffee can be a part of BB (business break) but not the only part
- losing your concentration wont affect you. Means, you can relax
- what ever happens in the break duration is important for some one else
But deftly. Not for you.

Reasons for a BB:

- when you are stressed
- when you are overloaded
- when you are angry with some official issues
- when you want to pass the time (specially those die’ng hours before weekend)

Examples:

-conference
-peer/protégé’s presentation
-summit
-all hands meeting
-board meeting
-(at times) team meeting too

Benefits:

- relaxed mind
- you can postpone the deadline of the work
- you can cherish the fun happened during the BB
- you can think of some thing useful personal stuffs (like what to do in weekend)
- nthng will make you happy if you gotta catchy peer sitting opposite

Chaps doing Business studies may be you can include this term as part of your ‘innovative research’ in corporate world ;)

Eppothum Pachai Tamizhan

Being traditional is the name of the game…. Marriage nowadays is becoming western as ppl (specially/only males) dress up with pants/shirts or jeans/tshirts with no sign of Indian in that… However, I appretiate ladies/girls in this aspect as they always stick to their sarees on these occasions… even the groom wears suits most of the time for his reception…I can see many grooms take up the traditional attire with no intrst during their marriage….

This time its my (one of the) best mate’s marriage in Chennai and we (family and friends) are charged up for the event… It was also a reason for me to have a long weekend break to visit Chennai… I once again had a thrilling night drive with heavy rain all the way till vellore…. Good 2 days with lots of rest and food….the marriage was on Monday and this time I decided to show up little traditional… I found my marriage veshti (I dunno how should I tell this thing In english….its a big white bedsheet like cloth tie around your hips…) shining new…. I have no idea on how to tie this thing and some how managed to get it straight with the belt around (shhhhh)

The ladies took almost a million year to dress up for 1 hour presentation in the almost alien public….the hall was relatively posh one located around 2 kms away from our house in chennai… As soon as I sit in the car in the driver seat the ‘veshti’ played crazy and started to slipaway showing all my bare legs…(for god sake !!!) I later some how managed to squeeze in with out letting much of my ‘maanam’ fly around…

Reached the hall on time and I was embarrassed to see every one watching me… I din show up though… I was walking like how vijayakanth walks in ‘Chinna kownder’..like how sharath kumar walks in ‘Naataamai’…like how kamalhassan walks in ‘Devar magan’… like ooops…I think geetin outa core…yeahhhh…sooo with all those hype I was walkng slowly inside….and my whole family coming behind…(no more film comparisons)

My other mates started taking the micky outta me…however, they felt different happy abt this attire…. (who knows, I might be an inspiration for other aliens in the crowd to dress up same way in forthcoming marriages) the groom was very happy as he got a partner to get embarrassed…. (bull dog!!!) later I got used to it and felt not much different…

p.s: I wanted to upload the picture with the traditional attire but i cant due to this bloody technical hickups in this blog tool.... ahhhhhhhhhhh

Perplexed with the marvel of the technology …

I was never fanatical about mobile phones until wen I got this gift (treasure) from my beloved…. I basically use phone only for sms and calling…. I need the following features in the phone usually,

Strong enough as I use to drop the phone often (ofcours, accidentally)
Long battery life as I seldom charge the phone
Unique design (like rare model)

May 20, was an abslte great day… started off well when my wife wake me up at midnight drove me to anger extreme…. I was well tired after a long day at office and yelled at her forgetting its my bday for that moment….i got calls from my brother and others….meanwhile she ran over to the wardrobe and got a pack… which totally chased the sleep off…. Its brand new Nokia N73….i remember Ive told ‘impressive’ about this spec. once before marriage and she was too sweet to get that bloody thing in the right moment (my old mobile was anyway about to expire) ; )

I started working on the phone straight away…big screen, black colour, built in camera….. my joy knew no bounds… oh girl how lucky I am…. Following features of the phone really made me fumble outta surprises…

3.2 mega pixel camera
Large colour screen
2 gb space to store music, pics, videos (any hell in the world)
Amazing usability
Internet access
Radio
Bla bla bla

Next day morning I got up and started clicking on the pics straight away… I started assigning ring tones (“pray for me brother” song itself) assigng pictures and music to contacts so that it will be picked up when they call me…. (now I can identify its my wife jus by hearing the ringtone) exchanged files with my uncle’s mobile (thanks to the amazing Bluetooth feature)

I quickly copied around 200 songs to my mobile and started to playing it around with the loud speaker… the clarity is damn perfect (ofcourse yaar it’s a music edition)…

Last night I was going late to my home and I really enjoyed the travel by listng to all my favrte tunes and parallely browsing those wap sites through the ‘airtel live’ connection in my phone….I really wonder this technology advancement in the mobiles… it is jus the size of the wallet and the features are countless… but the worst part is that I have to now be very carefull and have this thing very safely unlike me earlier days….however, worth taking that pain ; )

SEGA kooda JuJubi thaanda !!!

Hot Hot Hot…

Not just the weather in Chennai, the expectation on the India’s most expensive movie…. The music is out already and started rocking among the audience… Ive listed my views on the songs of the movie…. I was too late to write this review and there are reasons…. A R Rehman is known for his slow poison music…. And so I needed time to get comfortable with songs…..

THE BOSS – theme music – Spicy one

This will absolute set your nerves straight and risen your spirits…. One can imagine the thalaivar in this song…. Am sure Sankar will make no mistake in projecting him for this music….. “Sachin adicha sixer thaanda..Sivaji adicha puncture thaanda”…The blaze says it all…. don’t think a lot about the lyric’s logic… just feel the music and enjoy…

Vaaji Vaaji – Tradition duet

The song remainds many old musics… The continuous drums bgm used in many songs…. The lyrics doesn’t make much impact in me as am not a big fan of fast duet songs.… “Un kaal kolusoligal pothumadi pala kavignargal karpanai thavidupodi”… most of the lyrics are written to dance with the music…

Sahara pookal – Heart slips with the melody

The initial music bit deftly pleases any one… Udit narayan and chinmayi got new feathers on ther cap…. They just dominated the voice of Vijay jesudas/Gomati sree in the other version of same song…..the lyrics will deftly keep you mesmerized…
“Oraayiram aandugal semitha kaalam ithu….Noorayiram aandugal thaandiyum vaazhum ithu” I love to hear this song when am driving….

Oru Koodai Sun light – My favorite one

This is deftly not a tamil music I used to hear…. This is very much different indeed…. Initially I had a feeling of singing “Who let the dogs out” for the initial music…. I dream this song to be shot some wer in Europe to blow up the thalaivar’s style….”adadadada asathuthtu Style, adada nadapathum Style, adikadi mudi kalaivathum Style, kadakadakada siripathum Style, vara vara vara ellamay Style”…cant wait to see this song…

Attiradee – bit noisy

This I felt like a yet another song in the list… nothing much on the line of impression… am little annoyed with loud voice of a r rehman (he is good when he sings slow) and the loud music…. Tanvi’s voice sometime sounds like male… wicked…

Ballelaka – Mann vaasanai

This song should be the thalaivar’s entry song… the bass effect is catchy and SPB’s voice takes you till the end… there could be no better voice to match our thalaivar image…. If you got a good woofer this song will keep your feet tapping and mind with josh for full 6 minutes…. The lyrics says the proud Indian life and the hidden joy with life in India (specially villages) … “Ballelaka Ballelaka ottu motha makkaluka … annan vantha tamil nadum America”… you shoud listen this

As a whole the music CD is worth buying and am still confused with the dates of the movie release…. Ooops…. Gotto get back to work… catcha in next blog ; )

~~~ Are you searching, For a reason ~~~
Don’t be so confused… This a mind blowing line of the top-of-the charts music album “Pray for me brother”.. It’s A R Rehman coming up again with the sheer brute perfection… I hear this song atleast once in a day… I am always a big fan of a r rehman’s voice (rember the song “Thaai mannay vanakkam”, “New york nagaram” etc…) You gotto listen with your headsets, eyes closed and with out thinking anything else…. The lyrics are damn cool You can find it in the link
… You can download this song from websites (try google search)… Its worth hearing….
Its all about poverty and the music will jus bring the tears (atleast virtually) out of you…. The video just rocks and makes one to feel like watching it again…. Bharathbala (the director of “Vande maataram” ) got another feather on his cap.
A R Rehman is a musical genius indeed makes every Indian proud.... he is now reaching hearts beyond the boundaries.... I admire this chap a lot for his loyalty towards the Tamil film industry as it is the one which lifted him and put him bright in the national scenario.....
****_-_-_- Time chaser ride -_-_-_****
No apologise this time… u kno wat am talking abt don ya??…. Lemme carry on with my blogging spree from here on (I hope so) ….
This happened few weekends back (2 or 3). The Friday was too long for me to work… Ive started at 7 am in the morning and had bloody load of issues to solve and winded up around 4.30 pm due to reasons… it was the team outing that day in my office and am organizing it and as an extra flavour (rather, to rub salts on the wounds) the participants (for the dinner) gotto get their spouse. (What the ….???) I was mentally prepared to face the music… I went home got dressed up and reported to the spot promptly with my wife … I initially planned to drive to Chennai on Friday evening but later changed my plans as I am indirectly forced to take up this responsibility ..uhhhhhhhh….managed to get back home around 10 pm and hitting my bed straight away bearing in mind that I have tough morning next day …
“Wake up hun, its 3 o clk and get ready”, I cant really open the flippin lids of mine… gosh… (some body take me to the world of no-humans) ahhhhh…. I planned to leave at 4 so that I can reach Chennai on time for the breakfast (however, the brief plan was to eat on the way if we cannot survive any more) mom, grand mom, my wife and her mate was busy in getting dressed (I dunno why ladies are always curious to dress up knowing its gonna b a boring car journey and no onez gonna watch them) and packing stuffs… (ooops have I mentioned ‘packing truck load of stuffs to stuff em in to a car)
Pretty much expected behaviour, I (male) got up late and got ready on time, others (females) still checking their outlooks…uhhhhh…. Finally we all loaded the car by 4.15 am… and managed to start cracking by around 4.30 am… I started to roll the wheels slowly … filled the gas last nite, had a strong cupa tea to chase the sleep off… wat else….my goodness forgot my audio cds….for f**k sake why is my memory ripped off???????? All I got was 2 mp3 cds (one with an assorted/stupid collection of my own and the other is a set of old songs) I gotto live with this (ofcourse with 4 other ladies) for the rest of my drive…i was not surprised to see flowing traffic at this manirathnam’s time zone…. Its very normal in bangalooorrrruuuu… lucky I stay in the border which is very close to the exit that connects to Bangalore- madras highway…
“yayyy my office”, my wife with her low icecream voice… my grand mom has slept, my mom was listening, her mate wasn’t keen, I kno that its her office and the place is pitch dark… I dunno waz the point in screaming… I started picking the micky outta her…we now reached hosur…It took around 20 mins for me…I am mentally pissed off with the boring ambience inside the car as almost all have slept….i now made up my mind… the last time when I was driving from Chennai-bangalore, I made it in 5 hours… I thought ‘why not lemme break the record?’ … any way the inmates doesn’t kno if its raining or snowing outside the car and am sure they won give a damn….
I wont think about anything for too long… got my sandals off..pumped up the audio a bit and got cracking….from ther I made 100 kmph average and I cannot sleep as I gotto concentrate a lot …. The light was handy enough to pick the potholes and speed breakers… gotto keep an eye on those ‘intelligent human beings’ who
- cross the road with out caring anything in the world
- drive the vehicles (basically trying to sneak) in thro the opposite way
- stopped the vehicles in the middle of the road wth out any indicators
- changing lanes wth out any indication to the following vehicles
driving in India (no matter if its highways or in town) is always a kick-ass task and Indians are always pretty good in that (specially chennaites, trust me I found this out from my personal experience ( as a flavorà naren karthikeyan is a chennaite ) )
I have now crossed 90 kms in an hour time… the car is a mere grave yard… (heyyy don think that, I meant that all are quiet and sleeping) I am not enjoying this at all… however, I din give up I kept the speed ticking up… at times I reached 140 and I wanted to raise more than 143 but I cannot find a stretch…. The road was completely desserted most of the times…. I liked it… I reached vellore in 2 hours time… it shouldn’t have happened… I SLEPT FOR A BIT … kreeeeeeeech…..i applied the pumping break and my mom murmered from sleep ‘is that a dog on the road? ’, “yeah mom! I guess” …oh yes… really lucky to get away from that truck that was too close … and ther I got this quails guys who is very much enthusiastic… he doesn’t wanna let me go… he kept chasing me and took me over… iam now a charged up chap… go Aravindh go….
A killer 1 hour I should say…. We were racing against each other… given a scare almost to all the vehicles on the way… am sure 98.8 % of the vehicle drivers wudve cursed us… I din care tho… I am helping myself to keep me awake ….i managed to stay ahead most of the time…. Some point near sri perumpudur I gave up and let him go as my mom & my wife are awake and I don wanna give any scare to them… I still kept up 90 odd speed… its only 30kms left to reach Chennai outline…the time is 8.20 am… I am really really hungry & sleepy but I thought I can make it completely as I crossed most of the tough time… “better, lets go home for breakfast”, my mom said as if she was driving all the way and she don’t mind hanging on for more time… “Ok.. no issues”, I generously knoded my head and kept a good pace until I reahed home … we touched Chennai around 8.45 and I haven’t pulled over at any point… we reached home around 9.30 due to heavy traffic in the city…
I really love my long drives specially when iam with my friends and got my own/dad’s car with the woofer attached… don’t ask me how my car looked after the trip… I paid extra to make the car look clean again :”(
Few of the high lights of the trip:
Bangalore – Chennai high way is a master piece of the Indian road ways as the roads are laid with high quality ingredient with 4 lane traffice and well painted lanes…made me drive comfortably… hey did I said I broke my record by making it in 4 hours approx…(300 kms)
There are 4 tolls which collect apprxly 30 – 40 rs. When u cross them.
You have to take diversion to go inside the town at any point as the high way is a mere bypass road.
All the passengers were sleeping most of the time leaving my driving fun in total jeopardy.
No food all over the journey (very important point)
All are still alive with out any trauma ;)
General tips on a long drive:
The one sitting next to driver should make sure they are awake and keep the driver entertained to ensure the safety of the trip
Have a good strong tea to keep yourself awake….
Don’t listen to those slow music specially when you are driving at night….
Make sure your tyres are good, got proper stepne and filled up the fuel before your journey…
Give a proper indication if your are changing lanes or stopping the car…its for your safety
From my experience… the more early you start the better you enjoy your drive as the roads are empty most of the time… better go to bed soon before night…
In 3 Minutes (a sad story ---(not really yaar ;) )---)
This is the real incident happened to my friend. As part of data protection, I have changed the name of the characters involved.
Rahul and me are working for the same team and he sits in the adjacent cubicle. He is down to earth dude with a cool attitude. I always admired his ‘life-is-a-kick’ mentality and wanted to live like that… oh well … lets focus on the intended incident : )
Jus back from lunch, we wer chilling out in our desks… surfing arnd, chkng out personal mails and stuffs like that… rahul very surprisingly lookin thro our office monthly magazine in his desk and I was booking my e-tickets fr my trip to Chennai next week…
“Aravindh!!! U there at yr desk??”, I was puzzled with this shout from him..”Ofcourse I am… I was with u during the lunch and we are back to the desk together… wazzup any way???” I smelled smthng intrstng (mostly turns out to be silly) ..”Check out this chick… looks lavishing yaar” , he walkd in to my desk with that shiny magazine in his hand..... I can see the curiosity to fall in the trap (u know wat I meant here don ya??) on his tone…
“So.. what u gonna do??? Dream about her for ages and finally fall in love with some one else??”, I askd him unwillingly…. “U laugh …. My day will come…anyways..shez cool na… I love her da…”, some body kill me. He always tells this wenever he finds a new chick in his line…. I got habituated to this and keep ignoring this statement….
He got back to his desk and I was moving on wth my ticket booking headache…. He yelled again “Dude!!!! Come over….” Now I am a real angry man…. He always calls me out for all silly issues…. But this time he yelled in a stronger voice and so I thought shud b worth goin… I thought I can book this ticket later and closed the window…locked the system and popped in to his cubicle…. “wazzup man??” I asked him in an annoyed tone… “Hey look at this” I saw that he was a little happy wen he saying this…. It was my company’s employee directory.. he spotted her profile in that….”are u sure it is the same girl???” I was puzzled…. “Yeahh man.. chk it out the name is same …PREETHA NAIR… she is a contract employee in germany division…I guess she would have gone ther on assignment basis….” ….interstng….”Smart” …I deliverd the complement very promptly…
“Wait….lemme do this..” he was so anxious to kno more about her…..he opened the dangerous habbit that attacked the IT industry very recently .. http://www.orkut.com/.... He gotta fake account in that….he opend the search window and typed her name .. “Rahul, do you think she gonna use this crap in the middle of all her schedules????” even I was curious to kno the anser….”lets find it out na…heyyyy not in this first page da…. Lemme see the second one…. Oh yes…bingo…ther u go….look at that man….i got it..” he was overwhelmed…”How can u b so sure” …”Dei… look at that pic man….her face is printed crystal clear in my heart….how can I forget…see the magazine pic..both matches..” oh yes it is her…. Now I am curious too.. “Check her profile….” …..i ordered him… “oh yes…she is from the same place I am from (though her native is different)…hey I think smthng is wrkng out…. we work in same company (though she is in germany).. wat more u need to fall in love da….”
I felt a little restless….. I was wondering… this cant b happening…. "Ok keep scrolling……” i orderd again... "Oh S**t !!!!! wat the f**k …. Crap man…. I don believe this…..” he was screaming all on a sudden… I got my eye sharp and focused on the monitor…lol…”hahahaha” I …LMAO … wicked…… its all over …. I was anticipating a twist and now iam more relaxed…..after seeing this line in her profile…
MARITAL STATUS : MARRIED
