Been to 0ne of my favourite place in India on a yet another road trip. Its Tirupathi... I always love to take the 3-4 hours walk to the top enjoying all the way with green surroudings, devotees' loud chants, deers and the exercise. Certain things never changed in Tirupathi in all these years and some of them are sick though.... I have clicked few of them on my mobile and please note, i dont target any particulare race or community with my comments, Tirupathi is a multi cultural place and i just care much about this world's richest Hindu Temple.
Trust me, this is an information stone that is supposed to say 3 KMS and people made it as another god :) (எத்தன விவேக் வந்தாலும் உங்கள திருத்த முடியாது !!!)
I am sorry Mr. Manu, neither Hamsa nor the god you pray will be happy with your love intentions.

I think you are wrong except for that bins...like Tieing the cloth has its own scientific and healthy reason....Dude every country and every place has good and bad things and here you are trying to focus only on bad things....
JR, i guess u got me wrong... what ever i posted r only wat i thnk... for ex, worshiping an information stone which is interrupting the purpose doesnt make sense to me... besides, if you think there is a reason for all the actions i mentioned, i need to know them thaz the point of the post... spread the fact even if its a belief... wat i noticed is a bunch of people blindly follow one person...SHAME
The belief that made you to go to Tirupathi is the same belief that made them to tie the cloth or keep the stones. Will you be able to explain your belief on why you need to Tirupathi instead of perumal temple nearby your house? If your reply is positive power/energy etc (mentioned in one of your earlier blog), then it is the same positive power/energy that make the people to follow these beliefs.
It is an irony that you went to tirupathi instead of perumal temple near your house with some belief and questioning the belief of other people. Everyone including you who go to tirupathi with same intention to attain some positivity, you do it by climbing the steps and they do it by tieing cloth or laying stones....

@JP .. .regarding the clothes and stones, i agree that its their belief (though there is no explanation for it) but what i meant to say is, there are certain beliefs that was followed blindly just because one person doing it ... however, i cant agree with other stuffs like littering, worshiping a mile stone etc., those are obviously PUBLIC NUISANCE
Dude.... I am 100% sure that even you have also throuwn waste product on public places....Might be you are not doing it now....I am sure that you cannot find a single person atleast in india who has not did this. Regarding worshiping a mile stone(I am not sure it is mile stone or not) ...but as JP said you belive some god stone and some other belive some other stone but it doesn't mean that other doing wrong....
One more thing here in South Africa people do so much of PUBLIC NUISANCE and so many bad things....but you always try to find the best and beutiful things about it by ignoring those...why not for INDIA????? You need to change your view....at present you might think that I am saying somthing rubbish but you realise when you get older....:-)
Mr.JR you r right..99% of us throw garbage.. but the point in dis blog is y in places like "Tirupati" (which is a value addition to our country).. ppl who expect some respect to their religion and most importantly their country wouldn't do it..
We Indians should keep atleast important places clean if not the whole country..
I loved dis blog of urs friend.. Coz dis is something we find in almost all beautiful places of our country..
As a blog writer u were very diplomatic, appreciated! But I Can Say boldly...Ppl who do all these stuff are definitely disgrace to INDIA..!
Dear Anonymous.... the first thing is that you are not eligible to comment on this blog because you are scared of your identity. The person who can scare to write his name cannot have right to comment. Let me come to the point you said "We Indians should keep atleast important places clean if not the whole country.." Can you define 'important places?' which is important place....According to me there is nothing called important places as god stays in all the places(if you believe in god). The blog was written by a NRI who ananlysed things wrongly and I want to correct him. But how can I coorect you because you ddon't have your own identity. Comeone share your name and email id. Lets debate on this. I am sure that I cannot be wrong !!!!
