Government servants... *** depressed with public ***

All the days we've been listening and telling about the govt. servants takin up the bribes or ignoring ther duty or misusing the powers and we hardly see them turning out heroes .... i was off from bnglore for 5 days ... and had a very short but significant issues with govt servants interaction with public....

firstly, i was leaving blore on sat afternoon to catch the train (first time ever am travellin in a day train from blore to chennai) ... i got an auto to railway station and to my dismay the auto broke down, half way... how ever, the driver was quite frndly enuf to spot me the bus that takes me to the railway station... gotcha.... got in to the running bus after a thrilling chase... (college memories) once i got in, was little surprised...for the first time ive seen a lady conductor in india...i doubt if there is one in chennai....however iam more happy to see a women gettin ther position higher and stronger.... ive seen the soothing environment in the bus..the passenger actually adheres the lady;s command and don do foot board travel and stuffs..as the conductor being a female by gender i can see her cautious enuf to get the kids onboard safely.... kudos to the bangalore govt....

secondly, i reached chennai central station, my frnds and me planned to go to movie straight from the station... they promised to pick me up from the station and as very much expected they wer not on time....soooo i jus got out of the station crossed the road and standing outside the chennai govt. hospital (the twin towers of chennai, precisely) ....i called them up and told em to pick me up in the above landmark.... while i was waiting i noticed a traffic policeman standing beside me to make sure no vehicles are parked outside the GH (govt hospital) gate ....i can see lotsa auto's trying to park near the gate, the policeman got too pissed off with this and busy chasing them off.... while he does this ...about 20 m away ther are another buncha autos gatherd like mosquitos ... the traffic constable (lets say TC) got more angry and started yelling at 'em... i was standing ther watching all these.... he slowly cme nearer to me and i can see how much he was hurt with the public....every auto driver swears at him wen they wer been chased off... the TC was too hurt by this and sharing his grief wth me... ALL FOR DOING MY JOB..... and this was so different for me...first time i can feel him from his shoes.... i jus told em that they are really great and keep up the spirit (the least i cud do for him) .....

thirdly, after late nite move...my frnds and me gettin back home in the car.... we wer stopped by a group of police near t nagar... (this was 2 or 3 days before independence day and wen ther was a heavy bomb scare...) i din botherd as i have got the reason and the movie tickets as proof to roam around at the middle of the nite.... the police man enquired us wer too rude and straight away shoutin at us asking for the reason and we told em.... later he spotted my bag and askd waz in that...my frnd got angry and anserd in a rude voice tellin "Its my frnds bag and he is jus back from blore..." the police askd him to open it up and i told my frnd to b polite and the police wer doin ther duty wat they supposed to..... i dunno if the police heard this out and suddenly his voice turnd low and askd us to leave .... with out chkng the bag..... may b is that wat the govt sector ppl expctng from the public ...CO OPERATION....

i should say the public have equal responsiblty for the back logs.... may b we all are human and prone to mistakes....but accpeting it and if u see all these (traffic police, cops, other govt officers) as ur frnds and talk wth a smile may turn it out to be good and change the system slowly... if u see this blog as a public service message take it otherwise it is only my opinion.... :)
