On the Off… Is it God or GANGULY?

Being an ardent fan of Cricket and a religious follower of matches wat ever Indian Cricket team plays against, I guess I got every reason to make this post on my favourite cricket player in my country team…. Its none other than the DADA himself…

I used to admire him at his debut season for his charming appearance and the way he grew himself to stabilize his position with the team… but now I like this man for his well crafted mix of attitude, skill, bravery and ability to excel with the responsblties on his shoulder… character gets better with experience and he is no exception…(ofcourse, am talking about cricket only & not those useless off the field controversies/speculations on him… thaz not my concern as well)

Let me list out the best on this-cat-will-drink-beeraa (puriyala?? intha poonayum beer adikumangra maari) looks chap that made me to have him as one of my favrts in the sportsmen list….

- his class, he has the honour of being a partner of tendulkar in opening the game and adding the most tons… his mind blowing strokes on the offside will tell you the reason… he is such a sweet timer of the ball and a master physician himself who is good at speed and angle of reflection ;)

- attitude, this is the most admiring part of him… some may call him arrogant or indisciplined but I seriously love him for his attitude that he shows to the opponents… not much of sledging…. He just shows his anger with his skills and only after he wins against those bloody opponents who raised his BP… remember? the way he stripped his tops and waved to the English audience conquering the England series in their own soil…. He was waiting for that moment and he just represented/reflected all his countrymens raging intentions… the empire of his own class

-charm, he is one amazing cricketer with a charm on his appearance all the time… he shows up very well wen hez tensed and a pretty emotional guy which I would say, increasing his charm as a person…

- Responsiblty, the way he handles his respnsblty shows his maturity as a senior player… obviously he is one of the most successful captain for india and ther can be no debate on this… the way he handles the pressure is seriously admirable…the only hiccup he faced is the loss of form in the middle and again, he came back like rajnikanth with hit over hits… however, he was off the track being emotional and kept his head quiet and calm all the time since hez back….

Ganguly is a very useful hand for winning any match… though he is know for being a batsman of his own class, he is a golden arm bowler who rise to occasion… I still remember the sharja cup were India played 5 ODIs against Pakistan and won 4 of em…. Dada got the man of the series by scalping 2 wickets in each parallely hitting around 40+ average…. Sachin mentioned him as a ‘Golde arm’ in the final presentation….

He was a man caught with lots of off field issues and even though its disappointing its none of our (fans) business to think about it as it is his personal side… for me wat matters is how he is with the team and country… the most disappointing news that BCCI could ever let out is the dropping of the inform dada from the most imprtnt CB series in Australia…. Sure this is a shock one to whole country….

On an attempt to promote the young Indian team funda, the country lost the much needed experience to handle the immaculate task India facing at the moment… the ongoing series is turning out pathetic purely due to the lack of experience….

See the first match against Australia which India won… the total (160) was peanuts and India should have won convincingly with bonus point (by finishing it in 40 overs… crap, they just suffered and thanks to Dhoni who showed some character to win the match by giving out everything… yesterday’s match (India V. Srilanka) was absolutely pathetic display of the inexperienced Indian team…. May be these matches are learning curve for the youngsters but at the cost of losing ‘on-the-hand’ games…??? Had ganguly was there (irrespective of opening or in the middle order), the win is always achievable combined with the exp. Of sachin , dhoni along with the fired up talent of youngsters….

If India loses the tournament, I would strongly comment with out any reservation that its because of omission of the inform, experienced ganguly… this is totally unfair to a player who contributed more than his potential all over his career with Indian team… I some how losing my intrest these days with these stupid decisions from the selectors… all I can do is show my anger only in this post…. !!!

Though not a huge fan of Ganguly, I do share the frustration on dropping him for the aussie series. Dropping an 'in-form' player defies all logic!

The team composition should be purely based on the performance and not based on how old / how young a person is.
